Voyaroam
From choosing coverage to staying connected.

A better way to stay connected abroad.
Voyaroam is a travel eSIM experience for people who need mobile data without swapping a physical SIM or relying on expensive roaming. It brings destination discovery, plan purchase, installation, and ongoing management into one journey for both first-time and experienced eSIM users.
I turned a complex product model into a clear journey.
As Senior Product Designer, I structured the experience from destination or travel occasion through plan comparison, checkout, installation, and active eSIM management. The work connected country, regional, global, and curated travel plans with the decisions a traveler needs to make at each stage.
Give travelers a reason to choose Voyaroam.
The strategy board identified the central question: why switch from an eSIM app people already use? The design direction combined regional relevance with curated plans, transparent local-network information, device-compatibility guidance, and accessible human support. These were product opportunities, not measured outcomes.
Make confidence visible before and after purchase.
I separated destination discovery from plan comparison, gave single-plan and multi-plan purchases clear paths, and treated installation as part of the main journey. After purchase, the experience keeps plan status, remaining data, validity, and support close to the traveler’s next action.
Keep assumptions visible for the next decisions.
The board marks plan-selection uncertainty, compatibility, activation, and support as problems to validate. It also records open product and engineering questions about account timing, provider capabilities, wallet rules, and support availability. The case study presents the design direction without claiming those questions were resolved or tested.
One lifecycle. Four clear stages.
I structured the experience around the traveler’s changing question—from choosing coverage to understanding an active plan.

I separated exploration from comparison.
Travelers first decide where they are going, then compare coverage, duration, data, and price without carrying every choice at once.

I designed checkout for a trip—not a single item.
The flow supports several destinations, quantities, payment methods, and vouchers while keeping the final decision easy to verify.

Payment is not success until the traveler can connect.
I made installation part of the core product journey, with clear methods, device guidance, and an explicit completion state.

I designed the state system before multiplying screens.
A stable hierarchy keeps status, remaining data, validity, network context, and the next action predictable as conditions change.
